Workshops
Remember how as new parents we got together in playgroups and we all shared and sympathised with the lack of sleep and lack of having any idea what we were doing, and there was a sense of camaraderie and support? A problem shared is a problem halved, right?
Talking Teens offers Adelaide based 'workshops' with small groups of parents to come together and discuss the realities of parenting teenagers. Often, just sharing your story and having someone else say
"I know how you feel!" can remove the sense of isolation and self doubt.
Over coffee or wine (depending on the time of day), we can explore specific topics and share, laugh, maybe cry, and strategise ways in which we can better handle certain situations. Not all topics will be the heavy hard-hitting ones, most of us can benefit from support and understanding for the everyday situations too.
If you would like to attend a 'workshop' (I hate that word), then register your interest below. Can I call them playgroups? Don't forget to note which topic(s) interest you the most. Full details will be emailed direct. No obligation for registering your interest.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Jo, what a fantastic and insightful afternoon!
A great bunch of women and I left feeling upbeat about the journey (and challenges) I have to come when my boys hit their teens!
